We are seeking a highly dynamic Agency Finance Operations Manager to function as a leader of shopper marketing fiscal accountability and stewardship across multiple programs, categories, and retail channels. The Client Finance Operations Manager serves as the face of the Agency to assigned client financial contact(s) and works across internal teams to ensure excellence in budgeting, financial tracking, and reconciliation.

A successful Client Finance Operations Manager must practice effective written and oral communication skills with clients, customers, agency partners, and third-party vendors. Strong attention to detail and a passion for financial rigor are a must.

Swim in low hanging fruit, solving Finance Operations tasks for assigned clients and agency partners. Act as cross-functional lead for finance process, working across levels within agency and client teams.   • Develop strategic recommendations and reports. Identify patterns and opportunity areas, recommending process improvements accordingly. Provide suggestions for budget shifts based on trends.

  • Lead strategic evaluation and analysis of vendor costs/invoices as well as real-time reconciliation. Manage reconciliation process, ensuring timely invoicing and developing reports as needed.

  • Manage budget changes and period close processes, work closely with the client’s finance and shopper marketing leads.

Qualifications you may need to succeed in this job:

  • We prefer a Bachelor's Degree, but open should you have equivalent on the job experience.

  • Looking for you to have 5+ years of experience in finance, We really, really, really want you to have agency environment experience, if possible.

  • We always look for co-workers with kind, effective and concise oral communication skills in order to serve our clients, our third party vendors, and each other well.

  • You will do great if you are passionate about the details and financial rigor makes your heart sing.

  • You should understand agency and/or consulting services operations, including billable models and cost allocations.

Responsibilities

The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics and home centers. Position Summary:

The Client Finance Manager functions as a leader of shopper marketing fiscal accountability and stewardship across multiple programs, categories and retail channels. The Client Finance Manager serves as the face of the Agency to assigned client financial contact(s) and works across internal teams to ensure excellence in budgeting, financial tracking and reconciliation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as cross-functional lead for finance process, working across levels within agency and client teams

o Partner with Account Service team to manage budget tracking across 10+ retailers and 200+ programs

o Collaborate with internal company accounting teams for resource tracking, estimates for incremental work, etc.

o Own communication with the client’s finance team, acting as single point of contact for the agency

Develop strategic recommendations and reports

o Work with client team VP to build and implement finance process

o Identify patterns and opportunity areas, recommending process improvements accordingly

o Provide suggestions for budget shifts based on trends

Lead strategic evaluation and analysis of vendor costs/invoices as well as real-time reconciliation

o Interface with account service team for comprehensive tracking of all vendor estimates

o Validate all vendor invoices to ensure accuracy in billing, collaborating with clients on revisions, as needed

o Manage reconciliation process, ensuring timely invoicing and developing reports as needed

Manage budget changes and period close processes, work closely with client’s finance and shopper marketing leads

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level:

(Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

5+ Years of experience in finance within an agency environment; agency experience strongly preferred

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills with clients, customers, agency partners and third-party vendors

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for financial rigor are a must

  • Understanding of agency financial processes

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

Office / Sedentary Requirements:

Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
