Responsibilities:

  • Drive the interpersonal exchange of value between the organization and clients; achieve revenue targets based on overall company and client strategies.

  • Develops and implements the long-term strategy for the overall Client Services Team, including but not limited to, account management strategy and account protection strategy.

  • Measure and evaluate services activity against the company’s and client’s objectives and intended results.

  • Oversee management of staff through prioritization, workload balancing/utilization, employee recognition/rewards and staff development to keep unplanned turnover at a minimum and staff morale high.

  • Adjust and optimize service quality to maximize our one-to-one consumer interactions.

  • Identify gaps and best practices in operational support to improve overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of experience in general/leadership experience in a sales environment, including full P&L responsibility (budgeting, forecasting, etc.)

  • Previous experience managing 10+ direct reports

  • Experience working with major retail chains such as BestBuy, Wal-Mart, and/or experience in consumer packaged goods industry

  • Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically

  • Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The VP, Client Services is responsible for meeting overall client services strategy, overseeing the Business Unit P&L, and develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with corporate and client strategies. As a member of the senior management team the VP, Client Services leads team management, performance management, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives to ensure successful implementation of action plans and objectives where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, client, competitive environment, technology, and economic or social implications of organization activities. Results will be attained through ensuring alignment between the operational capabilities of the organization with the business performance goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Drive the interpersonal exchange of value between the organization and clients; achieve revenue targets based on overall company and client strategies; maintain and protect client relationships through the strategic exchange of data, internal service level agreements, client program reviews, and client/contract expectations.

Services Leadership

  • Develops and implements the long-term strategy for the overall Client Services Team, including but not limited to, account management strategy and account protection strategy; align resources to enable the long-term strategy for the overall Client Services Team; measure and evaluate services activity against the company’s and client’s objectives and intended results.

Operational Leadership

  • Build processes and infrastructure to enable scalable, measureable, and profitable growth; set expectations and interface closely with all stakeholders on the senior management team on performance against execution goals; oversee management of staff through prioritization, workload balancing/utilization, employee recognition/rewards and staff development to keep unplanned turnover at a minimum and staff morale high. Approves budgets and schedules to meet corporate and client requirements.

Optimization

  • Adjust and optimize service quality to maximize our one-to-one consumer interactions; work closely with other business leaders (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Field Execution, etc.) to maximize processes; identify and attend approved trade exhibits, shows and regular company field programs to develop and maintain knowledge base; identify gaps and best practices in operational support to improve overall performance.

Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  • Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.

  • Travel up to 25 %

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level:

(Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred) Master's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:
