Creative Director, Experiential (Human Experience)
You are an experienced and always-inspired HX (Experiential) Creative Director whose mission is to join and lead a band of experiential visionaries, innovators, and creators to deliver out-of-this-world human experiences. You’ve also been looking for the opportunity to collaborate and create some of the world’s biggest brands, including Amazon, Southwest Airlines, Edward Jones, Nature’s Bakery, Zappos, and Capital One.
As the HX Creative Director you are well-versed in the world of modern experiential activations and will serve as a leading voice and driver of the agency's experiential creative product. You will team up with the HX (Experiential) team to transform insights into big ideas that manifest in phygital (physically grounded, digitally scaled) experiences. As the HX Creative Director you will lead and manage the ideation process, oversee all creative output. You are equally confident as an art director as you are being a copywriter. You inspire experientially-driven creatives to produce their best work of their careers. You will deliver compelling and super-engaging experiences leveraging culture and passion points (sports, entertainment, food, and gaming among others). You are immersed in pop culture and well versed in the latest experiential technology and activation trends.
Qualifications
10+ years relevant experiential creative experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct role experience leading a team of art, copy, and design and 3D design creatives
Track record of delivering innovative creative solutions that bring the experiential platform to life, drive client results and meet budget requirements
Have a strong vision for what makes truly spectacular phygital experiences
Strong grasp on culture, with a keen understanding of what is relevant and an eye for upcoming experiential, experience storytelling, and activation trends
Confidence in building trusting client relationships
Ability to take ownership of all aspects of a creative project from start to finish; lead concepting and follow through experience mapping, design and production to maintain concept and brand integrity
Expert written and verbal communicator, with the ability to articulate abstract creative concepts; strong presentation skills internally and client-facing
Ability to provide clear feedback and direction to both art and copy and design
Inspirational leadership abilities with proven track record of developing talent
Reputation as a thoughtful partner to account, strategy, and project managers to craft the best creative experiential solutions for both individual projects and the team as a whole
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Proven ability to unify stakeholders in creative, account, strategy, technology, and production
Adept at new business creative development and presenting pitches to potential clients
Experienced trusted advisor and creative partner to clients and broader multi-agency teams
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a design field such as graphic design, multimedia/motion, experiential, broadcast, environmental and/or advertising
Equivalent experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio showing proven industry leadership
Travel up to 25% visiting clients, prospects, and/or brand activations
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$160,000

Position Summary
The Creative Director (CD) directs the creative vision for the business and strategic planning. CD will partner with account leaders in strategic thinking to define project assignments and develop and execute creative solutions. They manage the creative standards, both art and copy, while leading the creative team. They will oversee assigned projects and new business opportunities, ensuring they are the best demonstration of the agency’s capabilities. They will develop and assess individual team member’s technical skills, professional techniques, training needs, and professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications or Journalism, or related field
8+ years of experience in industry with at least 2 years in the arena of sales promotions and 5 years consumer products, media, or agency experience
Prior experience managing copywriters or directing art/design (advertising, promotion, and interactive media)
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Ability to make oral presentations
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
